Rex Murphy will receive the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (honoris causa) from the University of Haifa at the 2022 Mount Carmel Dinner. The degree will be conferred by University of Haifa President, Prof. Ron Robin.

Rex receives the award in recognition of his lifelong contribution as one of Canada’s leading writers and commentators on social and political issues; for his outspoken and steadfast support of the State of Israel; and for his denouncement of the BDS movements, particularly as they relate to academia.

Proceeds will establish "The Rex Murphy Scholarship Fund" for Canadian and international students enrolled in the "The Comper Innovations Incubator for Combating Antisemitism".
